Vanilla Chocolate Smoothie Bowl

My rich, delicious chocolate ice cream, swirled together with my smooth, silky vanilla ice cream! Name a better combo...I'll wait! This gluten free and vegan smoothie is so tasty you won't believe it's healthy! Don't let anyone tell you you can't have ice cream for breakfast, because you very well can! Plus it's single serving so you get to eat it all! Keep scrolling to see how I made this deliciously creamy smoothie bowl!

 

YIELD: 1 serving

TIME: 10 mins.


Vanilla Ingredients:

- 1 frozen banana

- A few ice cubes

- A splash of vanilla extract

- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder

- 1/8 cup almond milk

- 1 tbsp almond butter

Chocolate Ingredients:

- 1 frozen banana

- 1/8 cup almond milk

- A few ice cubes

- A splash of vanilla extract

- 2 tbsp cacao powder

- 1.5 tbsp maple syrup

 

Instructions:

  1. Throw all the vanilla ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. Pour the vanilla ice cream out into a bowl and store in the freezer while we make our chocolate ice cream (to prevent it from melting).

  2. Add all your chocolate ingredients to your blender and blend until smooth. Pour into the bowl with the vanilla ice cream and swirl the two flavors together.

  3. Top with optional toppings of choice and enjoy!!
